Athletics Award Night June 13, 2011
Thank you to all the gymnasts who came to Awards Night!! We had a great season! You Girls Did Great! GoodLuck to all the graduating girls and to all the girls competing next year!! A BIG THANKS TO OUR COACHES MISS.REVINGTON, MS.MAVROUX, TRISH, BRITTANY, AND KAITLYN!! There wouldn’t of been a team without them!!

Melanie Wiggins – Level 3
Hi! My name is Charlotte Jones and I am in grade 12. I have been on the high school gymnastics team for 2 years! And previous to that I did 6 years of competitive gymnastics. For both my high school gymnastics years I went to GB’s and made it to OFSAA! Last year I made it to OFSAA on bars and beam and I placed 10th on bars. This year I made it for beam, floor, and bars and placed 5th on beam! I love gymnastics with my whole heart and soul and wish they offered at universities so I could continue with it next year. next year I plan on attending Guelph University for Applied Human Nutrition. I also help with the gymnastics website! I had such an awesome season and will reallly miss it next year!

My name is Sarah Kelly. I am 15 and currently in grade 10 at MSS. I have been involved in many sports at MSS such as basketball, volleyball, badminton, track and field and gymnastics. I really like gymnastics. When I was younger, I did gymnastics, and then stopped it to do other sports. Last year in grade 9 I got involved in gymnastics again and I really enjoyed it. I competed in all events last year, but this year I am only competing in bars and beam. My favourite event has always been bars. During practices I am almost always on the bars. I really like learning new moves and challenging myself. Every Tuesday and Thursday morning I look forward to going to gymnastics practice because I really enjoy it! Last year I placed 1st place on bars and beam at the GBSSA meet and went on to compete at OFFSA. At OFFSA I placed 2nd on bars and 9th on beam. Last year I was competing in level 2 and this year I am competing in level 3. I am looking forward to this season!

OFSAA April 20, 2011
On Monday and Tuesday nine members of the gymnastics team competed at OFSAA in Windsor. Of the nine, five girls placed in the top ten on at least one event. Let’s first off congratulate all the girls for their excellent performances at OFSAA with special congrats to the following team members:
In level 2, Hanna Sorgini placed 6th on bars.
In level 3, Jenna Ruttle placed 6th on beam; Charlotte Jones placed 5th on beam; Taylor Hamelin placed 5th on floor; Taylor Hamlin placed 5th on floor, and Sarah Kelly placed 4th on beam and 5th on bars.
This closes out our season and Miss Revington wants to thank all team members and assistant student coaches for putting their best efforts forward in representing MSS at every practice and competition this year.
